Concrete Column Surround

Postby Fruit Bat » Mon Mar 17, 2014 5:34 pm

Hi All,

Still relatively new to Revit. So have lots to learn.

I need to show some mass concrete column base plate surrounds that extend from the top of foundation to top of structural slab level with a minimum 50mm cover to the edge of the base plates. The columns range in size from 152 UC's to some 686x229 UB's. The Architect has asked us to show these surrounds on our model. Depending on the column location this surround may also be shaped to suit the line of the external brickwork skin.

Any thoughts appreciated.
I am out of bed and dressed - what more do you want?

Hi

you've painted us a pretty good picture of what you're looking to achieve. However, I'm not sure what it is you're asking advice on.
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
