Pile Tag & Schedule

Postby Fruit Bat » Wed Dec 11, 2013 4:01 pm

Hi,

Can anyone help me please.

I am creating a pile layout drawing and I need to tag each pile with a number (P1, P2, P3 etc...).
I then need to create a pile schedule giving the following info for each pile:-
Pile Number
Pile diameter
Set-out co-ordinates
Cut off level
Loadings

Any help much appreciated.

Hi there,
Presumably you will be using a limited number of pile sizes and I guess you only need to show a 2D annotation symbol on a plan view.

so check out an annotation family symbol that you like, duplicate and rename it.
then go into the family editor and add the parameters that you list above.
save your new pile family and place away in your drawing.
abstract the parameters into a schedule view.

I am a bit rusty at all of this but that is basically how you would do it. I'm sure someone will be along with an improved answer esp for getting the setting out coords parameter to populate automatically from the drawing.
good luck

Thank you Conman I will give it a go.
Apparently there is an add-on app for getting the co-ords to a schedule. Not sure what it is called so haven't found it yet.
