Moving Room Tags

Postby nealmac » Thu Oct 20, 2011 12:10 pm

I was just wondering, can I edit a room tag family, in such a way, that the "move" symbol will appear elsewhere? Sometimes when I create a small room, I have to manually adjust tohe position of the tag so it sits in the centre of the room. But sometimes when I need to nudge it down a bit, the "move" symbol goes outside the room, and Revit assumes I need to use a leader. Is there any way I can have this "move" symbol centred on the room name? I can't seem to find the parameter for it when I try to edit the family.
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

I dint think there is a parameter that the User can control, with regards e move symbol. I think it is just normally centred on the centre if the family reference planes- until Revit detects that the room is under the threshold size (that it determines)- at which point it relocates the move symbol for ease of visibility.

Personally, I normally end up using a leader or changing the view scale so that the tag text is smaller (relative to the room)
